​Need some new threads? Wanna get a unique gift for a friend or family member? Come to the Urban Campus, Building 7 from 11am - 1pm on Wednesday, November 20th to find a "new to you" treasure. You can either take it as is or embellish. All items are FREE, but the Urban GSA is accepting cash donations for future club events. Tell your friends!!

Nov. 19th-21st: 'Morocco: A Tapestry of Tradition & Modernity' Presentation at DMACC Campuses

DMACC International Year will host "Morocco: A Tapestry of Tradition and Modernity" by Christina M. Sibaouih at all DMACC campuses.

Christina M. Sibaouih currently serves as Section Chief at the Iowa Department of Education. This presentation offers an immersive exploration of Moroccan society and culture through the lens of an American who has lived in Morocco. By weaving personal experiences with academic insights, we’ll examine how Morocco’s unique geographic location and complex history have shaped a vibrant, multifaceted culture. Key topics include Morocco’s blend of Berber, Arab, and European influences, evolving social structures, religious practices, and the ongoing negotiation between tradition and modernity. This session aims to provide an informed, nuanced understanding of a country that is modernizing while steadfastly preserving its rich heritage, with time for audience questions and discussion.

Giving Thanks Through Food Drive

The DMACC Urban Latino Club is organizing a food drive to help our fellow students. We’re collecting non-perishable food items to be distributed on Tuesday, November 26th, in the Building 7 lobby area.

How You Can Contribute:

Now-Nov. 29th: Donation Drive for Central Iowa Shelter & Services at Ankeny, Boone & Urban Campuses

Now through the end of November, the DMACC Human Services Club and the Fitness Trail Club are partnering with Central Iowa Shelter &​ Services to collect donations for Central Iowans who are experiencing homelessness. Items needed include men's t-shirts, socks and briefs, as well as canned goods for shelter residents and community members who use the shelter.

Donations are being collected at drop-off boxes located on the DMACC Ankeny, Boone and Urban Campuses.

Nov. 22nd: Men on the Move Clothing Closet Giveaway at Evelyn K. Davis Center

DMACC's Evelyn K. Davis Center for Working Families will host a Men on the Move Clothing Closet Giveaway from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fri., Nov. 22nd, at the Center, which is located adjacent to the DMACC Urban Campus. An assortment of adult male clothing, including fall attire, suits, dress shirts and pants, will be available!  

All are welcome! Please bring your own bag!

DMACC students, are you interested in earning your four-year degree without having to relocate?​

The UNI@​DMACC partnership offers a variety of online degree completion programs and could be a great fit for you!

Join us for one of our UNI@DMACC Virtual Information Sessions this fall to learn more about how you can earn your bachelor's degree through the UNI@DMACC partnership. During these sessions, representatives from UNI Admissions and Online & Distance Education, as well as program advisors from departments across UNI, will share information about the flexible online delivery, degree program options and available scholarship opportunities available through the UNI@DMACC partnership. Sessions will be conducted via Zoom and will last approximately 60 minutes, with time for questions included. 

All sessions are FREE to attend and open to everyone!​
