DMACC Workforce Training Academy Celebrates Spring 2024 Graduates

The DMACC Workforce Training Academy (WTA)​ recently held its Spring 2024 Graduation, with 21 graduates walking in the ceremony and more than 90 people in attendance for the event. A total of 88 students were enrolled in the Spring 2024 WTA program and 79 earned their certificates, marking a 90 percent completion rate — the program's highest yet! 

Graduating students who walked in the ceremony represented WTA programs in Healthcare, including Certified Nurse Aide-CNA, Advanced CNA, Nurse Aide Refresher, Phlebotomy and Sterile Processing; Transportation, including Commercial Driver's License-CDL; and Business/IT, including IT Helpdesk and Dog Grooming.

Speakers at the ceremony were Michael Hoffman, DMACC Continuing Education, Executive Director; Kay Maher, DMACC WTA Coordinator; Lori Card, DMACC WTA Navigator, Transportation; Travis Moore, DMACC Transportation Institute Program Specialist and DMACC WTA 2015 CDL graduate); Som Mongtin, DMACC WTA Program Navigator; and Tasha Jackson, DMACC Dog Grooming certificate program graduate.​
