Transfer Plan with Drake University

Starting Fall 2019, DMACC is partnering with Drake University for those wishing to become an Athletic Trainer. Earn a DMACC AS degree in Fitness and Sports Management that transfers to Drake to earn Bachelors in Health Science, and a Masters of Athletic Training (MAT). This accelerated program is defined as a 2+1+2.

This partnership provides a lot of unique opportunities with extensive Drake science facilities and individualized clinical experiences in a variety of sports environments.  Drake has partnered with a vast assortment of exercise science and sports sites and experiences throughout the state.

We will work with you from the beginning of your program until you graduate from Drake. The academic staff at both institutions will help you in planning the appropriate course sequence and to explore your career interests in health sciences and athletic training. With this extensive program, it's best to meet with an advisor and start planning right away.

Students can take DMACC classes at both Ankeny and Boone Campuses.  Classes start Fall, Spring and Summer Terms.
