Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) offers quality programs and courses to meet the different community interests, student abilities and personal objectives of citizens of all ages and levels of education, for the purpose of improving the quality of life, the economic conditions, and the public welfare of our state.
It is the policy of DMACC to comply with the access provisions of the state and federal civil rights legislation for persons with disabilities. DMACC is committed to providing an accessible environment that supports students with disabilities in reaching their full potential. Support services are available for students with disabilities to ensure equal access to educational opportunities.
College policy calls for reasonable accommodation to be granted to students with disabilities in the form of auxiliary aids and services. DMACC employs a Disability Services Coordinator to review and grant requests for reasonable accommodation.
