Carroll Campus Addition Enhances Student Learning
An 10,700-square-foot addition on the Carroll Campus, completed in early 2022, expands learning opportunities for students… and brings needed training programs and state-of-the-art facilities together under one roof.
The new space, located on the northeast side of the building, includes:
- Two new labs for welding and industrial tech
- New office space for student services
- The James and Marjorie Knott Commons, an indoor space for both college and community events. The space honors James Knott, retired provost at Carroll and current DMACC board member, and his late wife, Marge, who was a nurse in Carroll.
The improved learning environment positions Carroll to serve students and the community for many years to come. In addition to DMACC’s array of Associate degree, diploma, and certificate options, Carroll offers 2+2 agreements with the University of Northern Iowa, Buena Vista University, and the University of Iowa's Bachelor of Nursing Program which allow students to earn their bachelor's degree without leaving home.
Ribbon Cutting
DMACC administrators and Carroll community leaders hosted a ribbon-cutting Feb. 14, 2022. Said DMACC President Rob Denson, “This is a true testament to the DMACC Carroll family and community. From modest beginnings transforming a public pool house, to today’s facility, Carroll Campus successes have been powered by great leadership and community support.”
