Reiff Family Center, Inc. – Funeral Home & Crematory is looking for a Funeral Director/Intern for a family-owned funeral home and crematory in Independence and, Winthrop, IA. Individuals must be a licensed funeral director or in the state of Iowa or have completed schooling to become a licensed intern. Must have the ability to multitask, set priorities, and be detail-oriented.
A Funeral Director with our firm must value and be able to accomplish the following:
· He/she must be sensitive to the feelings of others and be able to feel empathy for the grief and stress others are experiencing.
· Meet with clients to explain services, and to make funeral, cremation, and interment arrangements.
· Provide clients with pricing information and prepare contracts.
· Arrange transport of deceased people.
· Obtain documents and permits related to embalming, cremations, and funerals.
· Embalming, dressing, cosmetically enhancing, and casketing deceased people.
· Arranging flowers, religious leaders, pallbearers, and others for funerals.
· Provide wake, graveside, funeral, and interment services.
· Driving hearse, limousines, and removal vehicles as needed.
· Personalize every service.
· Practice exceptional customer service
· Be detail-oriented.
· Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment but take the initiative to keep busy when the business is slow.
