One Year Building Trades Program

​Affordable, skill-building program that gets you into the work​force in one year.​

The DMACC Building Trades Diploma program provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary to enter either residential or commercial construction fields.

Students will

• receive daily one-on-one attention with ​the same instructor throughout the program. 
  
• actively work on constructing multiple homes in the Des Moines Metro area, as well as cabinets and other projects during the one-year training program. Transportation to construction sites is available. 
• have access to onsite program advisor to help you get started and stay on track during the program​.
  

The program includes blueprint reading, material estimating, framing, drywall, trim work, siding, roofing, and concrete.

You can now also earn a degree in Construction Management.
