​General Motors Donates Denali to DMACC's Automotive Program

G​eneral Motors has donated a 2015 GMC Denali Heavy Duty pickup with 360 HP and 280 ft.-lbs. Variable Valve Timing Flex Fuel V8 engine, 6-speed Automatic Transmission, Heated and Cooled front seats and Navigation system, to list a few of the options, to the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) GM Automotive Service Education Program (ASEP). The DMACC ASEP students will be able to learn about the latest technology equipped on today's vehicles. General Motors Donates Cruze to DMACC's Automotive Program

General Motors has donated a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze to Des Moines Area Community College’s (DMACC’s) General Motors Automotive Service Education Program (ASEP). This vehicle is a premier edition equipped with all of the latest technology including a 1.4 liter turbocharged ECOTEC engine, 6-speed automatic transaxle, Chevrolet MYLINK-BOSE stereo system, sunroof and power everything. General Motors has donated a 2012 GMC Acadia with a 3.6 L V6 engine and six-speed automatic transmission to the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) GM Automotive Service Education Program (ASEP) so the students can learn the latest technology equipped on today’s vehicles.  Some of the students who will get to work on this vehicle, which will never be driven, include:  (left side of vehicle, left to right) Dylan Taylor of LeMars, Shawn Buckingham of Prairie City, Karl Clemons of Harlan, Brady Henkes of Monona and Kaleb Carstarphen of Perry. General Motors Donates Acadia to DMACC's Automotive Program

General Motors has donated a 2015 GMC Acadia to the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Automotive Service Education Program (ASEP).  The vehicle will be used by the ASEP students to learn about the latest technology installed on GMAC vehicles.  The students who will work on the vehicle include:  Laverne Martin (standing left to right) of Iowa City, Tyler Scott of Sioux City, Payton Klinger of Des Moines, Lucas Herman of Davenport, Nate Vaughn of Ankeny and Vincent Boock of Strawberry Point;   Devan Olson (kneeling, left to right) of Adel, Connor Sackett of Bouton, Mark Smith of State Center, Nick Mona of Des Moines, Austin Nyheim of Altoona, Melissa Mark of Des Moines, Drayton Carter of Des Moines and Brandon Prohl of Manning. The vehicle has a sticker price of more than $48,500 and includes technology such as a forward collision warning system, a lane departure warning system, a rear backup camera and trizone air conditioning.


General Motors Invests in Des Moines Area Community College

General Motors, one of the world's largest automotive manufacturers, today donated 17 Engines to Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) for its automotive training program.

These Engines will be used to train aspiring technicians enrolled in GM's Automotive Service Educational Program (ASEP).

"Our commitment to our customers goes well beyond building a quality product. Our dedication to excellence starts at the training level by partnering with schools in communities around the globe to share our collective passion for the automotive industry and educate, inspire and motivate the technicians of tomorrow."

General Motors has donated a Corvette to the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Automotive Service Education Program (ASEP).   The Corvette has a manufactured suggested retail price (MSRP) of $80,930. General Motors has donated a Yukon to the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Automotive Service Education Program (ASEP).   The Yukon has a manufactured suggested retail price (MSRP) of $67,270. General Motors Donates Equinox and Silverado Crew Cab to DMACC's Automotive Program

General Motors has donated two vehicles to the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Automotive Service Education Program (ASEP).   The vehicles include a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab 1500 pickup with a manufactured suggested retail price (MSRP) of $46,745 and a 2011 Equinox with a MSRP of $24,300. General Motors Donates Camaro to DMACC's Automotive Program

General Motors has donated a direct-injected, six-speed, 2012 Chevrolet Camaro to the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Automotive Service Education Program (ASEP) to be used by students to learn the latest technology on G.M. vehicles. DMACC ASEP students who got a first-hand look at the donated Camaro include:(left to right) Robert Hughes, Kalvyn Bentler, Madison McLaughlin, Sean Oliver, Dylan Windecker, John Pease, Nihad Dzafic, Wesley Spencer, Matthew Fullerton, Brandon Cornelius, Kyle Carnahan, Brock Travis, Matthew Scott, Greg Anderson and Juston Thayer. This marks the 28th ASEP graduating class held at the DMACC Ankeny Campus. The ASEP students will graduate this May and then be hired full-time by their sponsoring dealers.
