Guitar Lessons and Choral Ensembles
Aaron is the Conductor of the Choral Program at the DMACC Ankeny Campus since the fall of 2010. DMACC currently has three vocal ensembles, and performs four concerts per year. Aaron has been part of choral singing since the age of six, and has enjoyed the opportunity of being asked to be part of ICDA as an R&S chair. Aaron has been the Director of Music at Capitol Hill Lutheran Church in the Historic East Village of Des Moines since 2008. Responsibilities include the directing musical ensembles and managing the fine arts series "Music in the East Village". In addition, Aaron teaches guitar for DMACC, Simpson College and Grand View University. His performances typically total over fifty per year as a background musician, orchestra member and recitalist. Aaron holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Simpson College (1999) and a Masters of Music Performance [in classical guitar] from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Aaron lives in the Union Park neighborhood of Des Moines with his wife Kim, and daughters Nadia and Morgynne.
