When regular or adjunct faculty are unable to meet their classes due to emergencies or illness, the appropriate Academic or Provost or his/her designee will be contacted immediately. The dean/provost or designee determines whether to cancel the class or find a substitute. Substitute teachers are compensated at the approved hourly rate for the course, lab, or clinical experience supervised.
Adjunct faculty, please note: When you substitute teach, you will be authorized to be paid using an
Instructor Substitute Pay form. Be sure your departmental timekeeper knows the times and dates when you substituted.
