Wellness Program

​All full and part-time benefits receiving employees are eligible to utilize Loading...​​ for the purpose of prioritizing wellness during their work days.

The Ankeny campus offers a Wellness Center for faculty to use while on the Ankeny campus. The facility includes a gym that houses a full basketball court, an indoor walking/running track and a full-service fitness center including cardio-equipment, weight training machines, and free weights. Lockers and towel service are also available for a nominal fee. Both adjunct and full-time faculty are welcome to use the Wellness Center (including the walking track and fitness center) at any time during the normal hours of operation, which vary with the semesters.

The facility will also be open on Saturdays during Spring and Fall semesters.

The wellness program in conjunction with the Campus Nurse's office, offers many services and benefits including fitness classes (yoga, Pilates, cardio-based classes, strength training, etc.), personal training services, Lunch & Learn programs, a full-Wellness Library including books, exercise equipment and videos/DVD's available for 14-day loans, fitness and nutrition clinics and seminars, health screenings, flu shots and incentive programs that reward you for becoming more educated about your own personal health. Fitness classes are available free to full-time employees, and to adjunct faculty for a small fee.

The Boone Campus offers a variety of wellness programming though out the year. The facilities include a gymnasium, weight room, fitness room, tennis courts, sports medicine room, and locker rooms. The wellness program consists of annual blood screens, lunch & learns, fitness walks, exercise classes, and fitness assessments.
