​​​​ Add Event

All events on the DMACC website are​ pulled in from Ad Astra.

To add an Event, follow the instructions below.  Make sure to use the event type: Student Event Calendar Activity for it to appear on the DMACC website events.  See Astra Event Types and How to Use Them.

Add a Single Event

Select Scheduling Grids under the Calendars tab.

Click the drop down arrow and the day of the month of your meeting.

Mouse over on the row of the room you wish to schedule.

​

Left click on the start time and drag and drop on the end time.

​

Do not change the Meeting designation. Use Single Meeting.

​

Add the Event Name. If the room isn’t selected, click the house icon to add room.

​

Select the room you wish to schedule, if not already selected. Click OK.

​

Select the appropriate Event Type from the drop-down. See attached list for definitions. Use Student Event Calendar Activity to appear on DMACC website local campus event calendar.

Fill in the Contact fields. You can start typing the last name and choose from the list for customer info to auto fill.

Next add details to the event by selecting More Options

Add description of the event in the description field.

​

If you want to add additional meetings to this event, see directions below. If your request is complete, select Save or Save and Send Notifications.

If you want to add additional rooms or meetings, select More Options.

​

Use the Add Meeting(s) tab or Assign Rooms tab

​

Click Multiple Meetings. These will all have the same meeting time. Click the blue arrow.

Add Meeting Name and click OK

Select Meeting Type and click the Add Meeting tab

​

Place a √ in the box in front of the events that require rooms. Click Assign Rooms.

​

Filter as desired. Click Search. Save this filter, if desired.

​

Select desired room(s) and click OK.

​

Save and close.
