Academic Achievement Center (AAC) and DMACC Online Tutoring

The DMACC Southridge Academic Achievement Center (AAC) offers the following services:

  • HiSET practice and qualifying tests: Students can come in during AAC hours. No appointment is necessary!  Check times and dates for break hours.
  • Option 2 Diploma: All the materials and staff to assist you are available to get you started on your high school diploma.
  • Credit Recovery: Begin to earn high school credit after a suspension.
  • Quiet space: There are 16 computers available for students to utilize to write papers, study or print out class materials/papers all in a quiet environment.

As a courtesy for everyone using the AAC, we ask that students, faculty, and guests contribute to the active learning environment by turning off or silencing all personal cellphones and stepping out into the hallways if receiving and/or taking any phone calls. Music can be enjoyed through ear buds and headphones only. Anyone not in compliance with this policy may be asked to leave the AAC.

All drinks brought into the AAC must be in closed containers to prevent any spillage. A drinking fountain is located directly outside of the AAC for those who want to refill their water bottles. Food in the AAC should be limited to small snack items.
