Video is a powerful communication tool for building brands, delivering marketing messages, entertaining audiences and even inspiring others. With today's accessible technology and web-based video demand, more businesses and websites than ever are incorporating video into their messaging.

In DMACC 's three-stage Video Production Certificate, students will:

  • Utilize professional, state-of-the-art 4K and 1080 video and DSLR cameras in a hands-on setting.
  • Build fundamental skills needed to create web-based videos from beginning to end to grow a business.
  • Lay the foundation for employment in the video production industry found in every state, including Iowa.

Led by Hollywood film and television veteran Steve Schott, DMACC's Video Production Certificate courses provide fundamental understanding of every element of video production—from developing an idea and planning a production to shooting the video and editing all the elements together.

Because courses cover all video disciplines - such as producing, camera operation, lighting, sound, working with actors, editing and more - the certificate program is also a great way for students to explore specializing in one area of production.
