Heartland Funeral Home (Locations: Huebner Chapels in Denison, Charter Oak, Schleswig, and Westside; Ohde Chapels in Manning and Kimballton; and Harlan Chapel) is seeking a licensed Funeral Director to join our compassionate team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on families during difficult times. The ideal candidate will prioritize excellent customer service and care for the bereaved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult with families to plan and arrange services.
- Inform families of available service options and assist with necessary documentation.
- Coordinate logistics with clergy and other service participants.
- Oversee staff during services to ensure professionalism and quality care.
- Prepare the deceased and manage the visitation area to meet family wishes.
- Supervise the transportation and shipment of remains.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited College of Mortuary Science with a valid Funeral Director License.
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to handle emotionally charged situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong communication skills.
- Ability to lift heavy weights and work in various physical conditions.
Additional Qualifications:

- Bilingual skills are a plus.
