The following offers instructions on how to access DMACC systems and resources.

DMACC Network Username and Password

You can access DMACC's network from any campus location.

Username

The default Username is your first initial, middle initial and last name.
In case of duplicate usernames, a number is added after last name (i.e. efhutton23).

Password

Your default password will be sent via email and post office letter shortly after your submission for application to DMACC.
The first time logging into a DMACC computer or myDMACC, you will be required to change your password.

When creating a password, you must meet the following criteria:

must be at least eight (8) characters long
must contain an upper and/or lower case letter
must contain a number (0-9)
must contain a special character ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) ? \ { } - ~ =

You are required to change your password every six months.

Note: If unsure of Username or Password, on the myDMACC Sign in page, use the Look Up Username or Forgot Password links (these are located on the myDMACC homepage). For assistance, email techsupport@dmacc.edu or call 515-965-7300 or 800-362-2127, (ext. 7300).

How to Change Your Password

Change your network password from a campus PC

Log into PC and press Ctrl/Alt/Del
Click Change a password…
Type old password.
Type new password.
Retype password to confirm and click OK.

Change your network password from my.dmacc.edu

Sign into my.DMACC.edu and in the upper-right corner, click Reset Password
Enter New Password > Verify New Password > click OK

Change/Reset Password - Forgot Password gives you a link to Generate a Sample Password.

How to Access DMACC's Network from any Campus or Center

Turn on any computer on any campus or center.
Press Ctrl/Alt/Delete at the prompt.
Key in your unique Username and password and click OK.

myDMACC

myDMACC - my.dmacc.edu, is our internal network where only DMACC staff, faculty, and students may find links and references to additional information relevant to them.

By signing into myDMACC, the user will have easy access to important links (Webmail, Office 365, Canvas, Banner Self Service) as well as pertinent announcements, information, etc. When prompted for Username and password, it will be the users' email address and network password.

Navigate to the DMACC Home Page and click the myDMACC icon in the upper right corner.

Or, open a browser window and type in my.dmacc.edu.

On the myDMACC Sign In page, enter your DMACC Username and Password. Click Login.

myDMACC will open to the myDMACC the myDMACC Home tab showing links to Banner Self Service, Webmail, etc., and other relevant information such as the DMACC Daily. For additional information click the Student, Faculty or Staff tab.

Note: Click the Home tab or the myDMACC logo to return to the myDMACC homepage.

Banner Self Service

Use Banner Self Service to access or submit information about you such as: class information, grades, financial aid, timesheet, leave requests, pay stub, tax forms, etc.

Access from DMACC Homepage

Navigate to the DMACC Home Page and click on the myDMACC link or open a browser and type in my.dmacc.edu.
On the Sign In page, enter your DMACC Username and Password. Click Login.
To access Banner Self Service once you’re logged in, click on the available top navigation tab related to your role (Student, Faculty, Staff, etc.)
On this page, use the Banner Self Service navigation menu on the right-hand side to navigate to BSS pages.

Technology Policies and Procedures

A student's DMACC network account will be kept a minimum of 150 days from the end of the last semester attended. The retention policy for faculty/staff varies. Refer to the policies and procedures link shown below for additional information.

DMACC Email

Check your DMACC email daily!

All employees and currently registered credit students have a DMACC Outlook e-mail account.

Easily access your Outlook e-mail from any campus.

Easily access your Outlook e-mail from off campus on any computer with an Internet connection (Webmail).

All email accounts have been migrated to Office 365. Additional Office 365 information.

Tip: Check the email address of suspicious messages. If it's not coming from the dmacc.edu domain, it is probably a scam. Delete it!!!

Your Email Address

Your Outlook e-mail address is your DMACC Username with @dmacc.edu at the end. (i.e. efhutton23@dmacc.edu).

How to access your Outlook Account

On Campus (Desktop)
Start > All Programs > Microsoft Office > Microsoft Outlook or click Outlook icon located on desktop.
Tip: Drag Outlook icon to Taskbar to Pin to Taskbar. Or right-click icon to Pin to Taskbar or Pin to Start Menu.
Off Campus

Open a browser window and on the DMACC Home Page (www.dmacc.edu) click on myDMACC or go directly to my.dmacc.edu.
On the Sign in page, enter your DMACC Username & your Password. (Username does not include @dmacc.edu
Click Inbox to read and/or send e-mail messages.

From Your Smart Phone - Instructions

Microsoft Office & Windows

The office suite currently used and supported at DMACC is Microsoft Office.
The operating system currently used and supported at DMACC is Windows 10.
Because of an agreement between DMACC and Microsoft, all credit registered DMACC students, staff, and faculty may download Office 365 ProPlus for free. A download version of the Microsoft Office suite is also available to staff and faculty at a reduced price.

Data Storage

You have several options for saving files. No matter the option, you can organize your files in a manner that works best for you. To avoid electronic clutter, delete files you no longer use.

Network P: Drive

System is backed up daily.

May access from any computer on a DMACC campus or when off campus, access through https://mylab.dmacc.edu.

One Drive

One Drive is an online storage location on a Microsoft server instead of a DMACC server and the advantage is that the files are available to the user and others, if permissions are set, from any device at any time via Microsoft Office or Office 365. Each user as 5 TB (terabyte) of free online storage.

DMACC Virtual Lab

My Lab is an environment that simulates a network desktop and is accessible from any PC with an Internet connection using the VMware View client.

When working within the Virtual Lab environment, you will have access to your P: drive, DMACC Outlook email, and some specialized software.

For instructions on how to use My Lab, check out the documentation on the DMACC Tech Support website.

To Access the Virtual Lab:

On the Desktop, double-click the VMware icon.
If necessary, select the Connection Server name: mylab.dmacc.edu.
Enter your Username and Password, and verify that the Domain is DMACC.
Click Login.

Library

Students, faculty, and staff wanting to access library content (databases, films, etc.) off campus can authenticate and use the library services with their DMACC network Username and password.

My Online Learning

Online classes at DMACC are offered through the Canvas.

Notes:

An online orientation for new students will be available two weeks prior to the course start date.
Students will not be able to access their online class until the day before the online credit class begins.
Instructors wishing to web enhance, web blend or teach an online course are required to complete an online training course.
