DMACC's Courtney Donahue Named NJCAA First-Team All-American

Courtney Donahue is now one of more than 20 DMACC Softball players who have earned NJCAA All-American Honors since 2015

  • Donahue was also named a TUCCI/NFCA All-American on June 3rd.

  • Donahue was 26-4 with an 0.94 earned run average this past season.

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has named DMACC's Courtney Donahue a First-Tea​m All-Americ​an for Division II Softball.

The honor is the second for Donahue in recent days. On June 3rd the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA)​ named Donahue the TUCCI/NFCA NJCAA Division II Pitcher of the Year and an NFCA NJCAA First Team All-American​.

Donahue is now one of more than 20 members of the DMACC softball team to have earned NJCAA All-American honors since 2015.

Donahue, a sophomore from Marshfield, Wis., was 26-4 in 2024 and helped the Bears to a 47-11 record and their 10th consecutive appearance in the NJCAA Division II Softball World Series. She pitched 186 and two-thirds innings, allowing 32 runs, 25 earned runs, on 73 hits. Donahue struck out 386 batters, walked 31 and averaged 14.48 strikeouts per seven innings. She boasted a .56 WHIP (walks and hits per innings pitched).

Donahue, who pitched 12 shutouts and several perfect games during the season, led the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) in wins, earned run average and strikeouts. She also led NJCAA Division II in strikeouts and tied for third in wins. Donahue was third in ERA and fifth in batting average against (.115). Her 386 strikeouts was 103 more than any other pitcher in NJCAA Division II.

Donahue has signed a national letter of intent to attend the University of Missouri and play softball while continuing her education.
